Getting to the airport early doesn't help ...

... if your plane is more than an hour late. In this case, Laura's plane from Geneva to Frankfurt, the necessary pre-condition of a timely flight from Frankfurt to Toronto. If my memory serves, I heard:

- Hotel room
- Dinner tonight
- Breakfast tomorrow morning
- Shuttle to and from hotel
- Booked on flight to Toronto tomorrow

The EU also forces airlines to offer a boatload of cash in various circumstances, including if a flight is delayed 5 hours or more, or if you are "denied boarding". Does missing your connection because your first flight was late count? We'll see.

Faithful readers, having been spoiled by Laura's picture- and film-rich posts for the last two weeks, you are now re-introduced to the poverty that is me. Black and white. No frills. Short sentences. Punctuation only where absolutely necessary. Brevity.

It's about time I learned about brevity.

Ian

ps here are three pictures of that weird backpack I was given a few weeks ago. I forgot to post them earlier. I am working on learning what the word "layout" means.
